Enriching Lives Through Horses
At Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA), we work with horses and ponies (and the occasional donkey) to offer children and adults with disabilities opportunities for therapy, achievement and enjoyment.
The physical benefits of RDA activities, such as riding and carriage-driving, include improved balance, core strength and mobility. We also see vast improvements in mental health and wellbeing, confidence and communication skills.
RDA West & Central Scotland Region
The West & Central Scotland Region delivers support, advice and training to 21 RDA member groups across Argyll, Ayrshire, Central Scotland and Perthshire.
Around 600 hardworking volunteers deliver RDA's
life- changing activities to over 800 disabled children and adults in our region every year.
The Region also provides the opportunity to take part in competition at Regional and/or National level.
